WEP Modern Slavery Statement
OUR POLICY
This statement is made pursuant to applicable modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and supply chain transparency laws and frameworks in the jurisdictions in which we operate, and sets out the steps WEP Clinical (“WEP”) has taken to prevent modern slavery from occurring within their business and supply chains, as well as the measures WEP continues to take to ensure compliance with , where applicable, Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and any other relevant local, national or international requirements that apply. For the purposes of compliance with this Act, WE Pharma dba WEP Clinical, on behalf of itself and its affiliates, sets out the steps taken to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chains.
WEP is a global CRO, whose expertise are Drug Development, Treatment Access, and Commercialization Solutions for Sponsors and patients worldwide. WEP is committed to conducting business with integrity, and upholding ethical standards, and acknowledges its responsibilities across its operations. WEP recognises the importance of taking appropriate steps and measures so far as is reasonably possible, to help prevent modern slavery, human trafficking and exploitation within our organisation and supply chains.
We use our Vendor Management Process to support the selection and review of vendors. WEP has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and expects its vendors and business partners to act lawfully and ethically and to conduct their activities in a manner that is consistent with our high standards.
All WEP employees are expected to comply with the company’s core values and standards, including those set out in our Employee Handbook and all other associated policies. These documents support our standards on ethical behaviour, equal employment, non-discrimination, zero tolerance for violence and harassment, and protections for whistleblowers who report misconduct.
Training on ethical conduct forms part of the employee onboarding process at WEP. Employees also complete regular annual training, and key departments receive targeted training based on role-specific risks. New or updated training is provided where needed to support ongoing awareness of, and compliance with, our ethical standards.
Through these measures, WEP remains committed to promoting a fair, respectful and humane workplace and to maintaining appropriate safeguards to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.
